G-pa and G-ma

How precious are my grandparents? (The twins they are holding aren't bad either. Wink wink.) They have been married for 64 years and still going strong. Yes, I said 64 years! That pic of them dancing was from this past weekend at my sister's wedding (more on that later). When you watch them you can tell they have been dancing together for decades. They move as one piece.

Things I'll miss about Baltimore #5

(Thursday night potluck group with Marley, the precious pup, in front.)

Our church "framily" (friends-family combined) at the Gallery Church. I felt so comfortable there that on my second Sunday I was introducing myself to new people like I had been going forever. This church is loving people like Christians were meant to love and we were blessed to be a part of it, even if just for a short time.

Florida with the Greenes

We had the chance to stop in Florida for a visit with our friends, the Greenes. They are back from Uganda for a couple of months and we haven't seen them in a year and a half. We shared stories and reflected on the past year, read books to the kids, wondered how the kids grew so much, walked on the beach, and just felt so loved. We have really missed them.

Back to the West Coast!

It took a week of long driving days (for David) and lots of candy (for both of us), but we made it! This drive felt quite a bit different from the trip out to Baltimore because we were exhausted from finishing school, packing up our apartment and moving all within 2 days. I was tired. And exhausted. But, we got to see some great friends, family and places along the way. Here is a little taste.

Davidson, North Carolina
New Orleans, Louisiana

San Antonio, Texas
Las Cruces, New Mexico

Comps. Bleh.

Studying for comps is a lot less terrible when done here. (It is just a 30 second walk from my house! Why have I not studied here all year?!)

Things I'll miss about Baltimore #2

Our monument. It was beautiful keeping watch over the silent, snowy streets of winter, and it is beautiful now under the heavy air of summer.
